What will you be doing at DeepL?
You will be part of the highly motivated Customer and User Research team that informs DeepL’s strategic decisions with customer insights. Our growing team is responsible to reveal actionable customer and user insights via quality primary and secondary research. Your job is to support customer and user researchers to execute tasks like recruiting research participants, engaging customer panels in regular basis, cleaning and categorizing customer feedback data, etc. You will learn various of softwares and tools, market and user research methods, how Marketing and Product development is done in commercial practice; You will also actively participate in team activities and company wide events. You will have superior researchers coaching your skills and mentor your career development. Together with the researchers in the team, you will make a significant impact on building the best possible translation experience and overcome language barriers.
Your responsibilities
‐ Support the researchers to build a high quality customer panel. Design and execute panel recruitment campaigns, enrich panelist profile, incentivize panelists for participation in research projects, engaging panelists in regular basis, monitoring and updating the change of panelist profiles
‐ Together with the researchers and other teams to streamline the process of participants recruitment in various channels, write up guidelines and best practices for research practitioners to follow, support and execute participant recruitment project independently
‐ Under the supervision of the researchers, you are expected to execute data cleaning, categorizing tasks independently

About you
‐ You are currently a student in Germany and able to work in this role for at least 1 year
‐ Strong oral and written communication skills in English, preferably fluent in one additional language
‐ BSc/BA/MSc/MA in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, HCI, Journalism, Interaction Design or other related studies
‐ Preferably work experience in marketing, product development, market research or user research
‐ Solid skills in tools Microsoft Office, Google workplace. Ideally good skills in Python/R, SQL
‐ Good at storytelling when communicating customer insights and your ideas. You put yourself into customers’ shoes; you empathize customers’ pains
‐ A team player; you celebrate other’s success and care about others and thrive by giving and receiving constructive peer feedback
