Technical Support Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Technical Support Engineer at ownCloud, you will be a part of the Support Department and will be responsible for first line customers care, explain the bugs to engineering and manage your customer queue.

Your responsibilities

• Work in the Support team identifying customer issues and providing solutions
• Create test systems to reproduce issues
• Help our developers to understand customer issues and explain solutions to customers
• Document the issue, the debugging steps and the solution
• Provide a clear technical guidance during customer interaction

Your profile

• 2+ years experience in Support or similar with the ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
• Fluent LAMP stack set-up and configuration
• Samba and/or Microsoft Server Network Drive
• LDAP and/or Microsoft Active Directory knowledge. A big plus where ADFS, Shibboleth and OIDC knowledge
• Networking knowledge
• We appreciate some special knowledge in one of the areas: virtualisation, containers, storage management.
• Self-organized
• You have the ability to understand problems, to explain to our technical team and talk with customers explaining the solutions
• German and English fluent, additional languages are a big plus
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related
