The company hakuna Jobs is hiring a Senior Account Executive (m/w/d) to sign up new merchants for their embedded product insurance platform across Europe. In this role, you will identify business opportunities, build relationships with leading retail organizations, and help them grow their margins by offering relevant product insurances to consumers at checkout. You will need to be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of success in enterprise sales with long sales cycles.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales plan that meets or exceeds partner signup targets.
  • Navigate Europe's leading retail organizations and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Find and promote internal champions within partner organizations and help them prioritize our project in their organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless partner experience.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Track and report on performance metrics and provide regular updates to the executive team.

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a focus on the retail sector.
  • Proven track record of success in handling extended sales cycles of one year or longer.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to forge relationship networks in complex organizations.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to execute on sales plans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Fluent English and German or another European language.
