Professional System Engineer (DevOps, m/w/d)

Adfinis AG, a leading systems integrator based in Switzerland, is seeking a determined and autonomous System Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in Linux-based, Kubernetes-centric enterprise environments for their German team. As a Professional DevOps Engineer, you will be working on customer projects, solving engineering challenges, provisioning and maintaining Linux server systems, debugging and troubleshooting issues, and supporting developer teams with cloud-native applications. Leverage your skills with Open Source cloud and container technologies, GitLab, Jenkins, HashiCorp, Red Hat, and SUSE solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Provisioning, maintaining, configuring, and upgrading Linux server systems and/or cloud-managed services and applications
• Debugging and troubleshooting Linux server systems and/or cloud systems
• Supporting developer teams in implementing and integrating cloud-native applications
• Solving specialized issues and eliminating causes of malfunctions
• Analyzing monitoring events, identifying performance bottlenecks, and optimizing operations
• Creating main components of technical documentation from scratch
• Coordinating collaboration with customers and participating in meetings

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of work experience as a system engineer in Linux-based, Kubernetes-centric enterprise environments
• Experience with Open Source cloud and container technologies (preferred: Red Hat Openshift, SUSE Rancher, EKS, AKS, Docker)
• Experience with GitLab and/or Jenkins, HashiCorp, Red Hat and/or SUSE solutions
• Good working knowledge of enterprise IT's journey to Cloud and DevOps
• Good working knowledge of HashiCorp Terraform and Hashicorp Vault
• At least a B2 level of German and English, preferably C1
