Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail
‐ You are the first-level manager to a team of data scientists and data engineers.
‐ You support your team on operational level supplying and maintaining data science solutions and services that are integrated in KEC’s platform and app features including
‐ Recommender systems
‐ Information retrieval
‐ Anomaly and fraud detection
‐ Smart advertising strategies
‐ You drive your team’s success in their day-to-day work by mapping platform/app features and business processes to solvable ML problems
‐ You are supervising projects and driving stakeholder collaboration and communication is a part of your daily work
‐ You challenge data science and modelling approaches, data selection and handling, as well as deployment and maintenance strategies
‐ You engineer solutions fit for production, involving yourself in PoCs and overseeing results of A/B Testing models in production
‐ You develop your team by guiding their professional development and solving problems that impede their success to ensure that project and department milestones/goals are understood and met
Your profile – this is what we expect from you
‐ You have experience in managing teams or as a project lead in a production setting, ideally in a remote-work environment
‐ You have extensive professional experience in a related area (data science, software development, e-commerce) as an individual contributor
‐ You have a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent
‐ You have high quality standards for your work and can advocate them to your team
‐ You share our passion for e-commerce and our ambition to keep pace in the market
‐ You embrace change and a fast-moving work environment
‐ You are an empathic leader willing to promote Servant Leadership
