PREMATCH Sports GmbH, a European startup focused on non-professional soccer, is hiring a Backend+DevOps Engineer (m/f/d). As a DevOps engineer, you will take the lead on their DevOps efforts, automate operations, develop backend, and enable others in the team to improve DevOps practices. The company uses Python, Kubernetes, Grafana, AWS, Pulumi, and GitLab CI, among other tools.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi.
• Ensure stability, scalability, and security of services and infrastructure.
• Add new features to the backend (REST API) to delight users.
• Keep architecture clean to maintain a rapid pace.
• Support colleagues in effective use of cloud resources and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Living in Europe.
• Experience working in a small team and startup environment.
• Background in both development and operations topics.
• Passion for building for a football-focused user group.
• Experience in development with Python and REST APIs.
• Experience with IaC tools like Pulumi.
• Desire to automate all the things.
• Experience with cloud native software like kubernetes and grafana.
