Greenbone AG is hiring a Security Compliance Software Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen their team of daily vulnerability check developers, with a focus on Microsoft Windows. As a Security Compliance Software Engineer, you will develop automated tests for determining system compliance to security configuration standards, build and configure test environments, and document development and test results for CIS certification across various platforms. You will enjoy coding, researching security topics, and developing automation in a collaborative, international team.

Your responsibilities

• Develop automated tests to determine system compliance to security configuration standards.
• Build and configure test environments according to established security standards.
• Document development and test results for CIS certification across various platforms.
• Develop automation for secure configuration tests, including test lab validation.
• Research cybersecurity recommendation material and optimal implementation.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Cybersecurity configuration hardening standards such as BSI, DISA, or CIS.
• Ability to build and configure test environments according to Cybersecurity configuration standards.
• Experience with administration of various servers, systems, and software.
• Comfortable operating in Linux and Windows environments and using git.
• Excellent English written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and learning skills.
• Passion for Cybersecurity and working with various technologies.
• Motivation for complex and demanding tasks.
• Desire to shape software and processes regarding vulnerability detection, automation, and other security topics.
