Engineering Manager, Network (m/w/d)

Agency for the Future GmbH is hiring an Engineering Manager, Network (m/w/d) to lead their network team through Live Testnet 16 to Mainnet and keep up-to-date with Eth2 development. This role requires deep knowledge of Blockchain Consensus with Eth1/Eth2 and a strong ability to communicate among a team of peers. As a successful candidate, you will be working on the core infrastructure of LUKSO with a focus on hiring exceptional people, building relationships with partnering teams, and empowering engineering teams. Your responsibilities

• Lead the network team from Live Testnet 16 to Mainnet.
• Keep on top of Eth2 Development, with proposed hardforks by Ethereum.
• Hire exceptional people to grow your team(s) with a focus on diversity, scalability, raising the bar and Eth2 development contributors/clients.
• Build relationships with partnering teams, product managers, founders and designers.
• Help the network engineering team get better at what we do through building smarter ways of working.
• Empower and lead teams of engineers, who love what they do and are effective.
• Work on the core infrastructure of LUKSO, with short & long-term roadmaps in mind.
• Contribute to new protocol changes for the LUKSO blockchain.
• Follow Eth2 development and have an influence over new proposals and tools.
• Collaborate with a renowned team of industry experts.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge about Blockchain Consensus with Eth1/Eth2, particularly its current status and roadmap.
• Knowledge about Casper FFG Proof of Stake on EVM networks.
• Understanding of Blockchain, Distributed Systems and Networks.
• Strong ability to communicate among a team of peers and to document your work well.
• Creative and adaptable mindset with the ability to develop solutions off the regular path.
• A demonstrated interest in cryptocurrencies/blockchain/web3 Technology.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience with Eth2 development contributors/clients such as prysm, geth, lighthouse.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
