21 März 2024atmio is looking for an Electronic Engineer Working Student (f/m/x) to help develop a smart greenhouse gas measurement platform for energy companies. You will take on a key role in programming microcontrollers, designing electronic circuits, assembling prototypes, and collaborating with the leadership team. Leverage your skills in microcontroller programming, communication protocols, and CAD tools to make a difference in tackling climate change.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and optimize software for various microcontrollers, such as ESP32 and STM.
- Design electronic circuits centered around microcontrollers, including schematic design, simulation, and PCB layout.
- Assemble, solder, and test/debug prototype microcontroller boards.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure seamless integration of microcontroller software and hardware.
- Assist in choosing, testing, and integrating electronic parts, such as sensors, actuators, and batteries.
- Collaborate with the leadership and founding team, contributing significantly to the hardware product vision.
- Enhance the functionality and efficiency of embedded systems using BLE and OTA.
- Initiate and execute microcontroller projects with minimal supervision.
- Provide insights and ideas on how to leverage microcontroller capabilities to meet project goals.
- Maintain and update firmware and hardware as needed.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electronic engineering with a focus on microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Exceptional skills in programming microcontrollers, such as Arduino, ESP32, and STM chips.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, soldering, and assembling microcontroller-based electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of communication protocols, including UART, I2C, SPI, and Bluetooth BLE.
- Creative thinker with a passion for microcontroller projects, demonstrated by personal or academic projects.
- Strong ability to communicate concepts clearly, both in writing and presentations.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with CAD tools for PCB design, such as Fusion 360 and Altium.
- Understanding of microcontroller ecosystems, such as STM32CubeIDE and VS-Code.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
