We are on the lookout for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer with a mastery of Kubernetes and cloud hosting, who will play a crucial role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining our deployment processes and cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring our applications' scalability, security, and reliability.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of Kubernetes-based container orchestration, enabling seamless deployment and scaling of applications.
- Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security in a multi-cloud environment.
- Collaborate with our software engineering teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) using both, third-party tools as well as custom-built tools, to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other operational issues in both development and production environments.
- Champion continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and tools, and making informed recommendations to enhance our DevOps practices.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps engineer with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes and cloud hosting.
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Proficiency in building tools for platform engineering (e.g., Go).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or Ruby).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI).
- Experience in backend development using languages like Scala or Java (a plus).
- Solid understanding of networking and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Nice to have: Experience in collaborating with backend engineers to develop and maintain backend services and APIs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
